3D Art
Who doesn’t love a bit of upskilling? A few years ago I started learning 3D modelling, first in cinema 4D and then in Blender. Here are a few pieces I’ve created along the way.
Help typography.
Whenever I have a bit of time off I like to create something or learn new skills. I also need to promote myself which is why I came up with this little animation for a linkedin post. The idea being to promote my freelance services to any creative teams that need a bit of extra help.
Apple Crush parody
Apple recently had an ad called ‘Crush’ which was seen as a mishit. The idea of destroying creative tools to sell their new iPad was seen as anti-creative and wasteful. I decided to parody the ad to promote my website with the below video. Obviously since this was a quick spec piece I couldn’t spend too much time getting into different camera angles or modelling a load of elements so I kept it relatively simple and just tried to recreate the aesthetic of the ad as well as possible while putting a slight twist on it.
Aah the famous Donut tutorial. Who hasn’t done it who’s learned blender? This was my one of my first attempts at Blender and I was hooked straight away.
This started as Grant Abbot’s low poly house tutorial, but over time I added trees, textures, smoke, fog, moody lighting and other details as I learned more. It’s still WIP and there are things to improve, but time permitting I hope to develop it into a much more detailed scene in the future.
